Rebellion! On 28 July 1999 DB 111 175 stands at Frankfurt (Main) Hbf. The loco used to be an S-Bahnliveried engine (light grey with an orange waist band). Soon after DB made the decision to speed up the repaints of her locos in the traffic red -althopugh many a loco had existing panit jobs that could last for years more to come- and the closure of Opladen works, the idea of waisting means and monies to -from a maintenance point of view- perfectly unnecessary repaints, gave some DB works crews some chagrin. FFM-1 decided to interpret the traffic red repaints as replace the orange waist band and left the 111 175 grey albiet with a traffic red waist band. Sadly only a few years later, this loco was painted in the now corporate traffic red colours.

No orange waistband! She ought all be Traffic Red! -and so the somewhat rebellious workers of FFM-1 painted just the waistband Traffic Red. Alas, all 111s are now completely TR, but on 28 July 1999 111 175 upheld the Flag of Freedom in Frankfurt (Main) Hbf.
