Current plans foresee the discontinuation of tram operations in Alexandria, which has connected the city since 1863. Hopefully, th ... The tram in Alexandria runs at an impressively slow speed, sometimes experiencing long waiting times at intersections; in this square, it shares the space with pedestrians. You can see from the tracks that higher speeds would not be possible anyway. The Alexandria tram is very popular with residents because of its low fare, and with tourists because of its city tour character. Since I prefer authenticity over artificially exaggerated order, I am sharing this photo. 25.4.2025 Car 209 of the Alexandria tram on 26.4.2025 near the main station. The vehicle comes from the Japanese company Kinki Sharyō, which has been supplying trams worldwide since 1920 and has also delivered metro vehicles for Cairo, among others. This ... OPen door policy with ERS 189 098 at Weil-am-Rhein on 29 June 2013. ERS Raiwlays sadly went bankrupt in 2017 and Weil-am-Rhein is being rebuild, diminishing good photo opportunities massively. On 12 November 2015 ERS Railways 189 203 passes through Tilburg Universiteit and almost surprises your photographer. Long gone: ERS 189 202 hauls a container train near Dordrecht-Bezuydendijk on 23 July 2016. Sadly, ERS went bankrupt shortly afterwards. VT 648 424 passes near by Kaarst on 22 January 2025 as RB between Krefeld and Neuss and might be in need of a good wash-up. On the afternoon of 8 May 2025 RheinRuhrBahn 648 435 passes through Kaarst-Broicherheide.
