A pair of Burlington Northern tank cars rolls thru the Burlington, Iowa yard on 26 July 2003. These units were once part of a test in the 1980s when the railroad tried using propane as a fuel instead of diesel. These tank cars were set between locomotives during the tests. I worked at Caterpillar Engine Division at the time. The test did not go well and was scrapped, so was my job soon after. 
