The diesel locomotive 5506 pictured in front of the depot Kinkempois on May 18th, 2008. These engines were provided in operation by the SNCB in the years 1961-1962, they particularly run in the south of Belgium. The point before the number means that this locomotive has a heater. On the red stripes and the words TVM can be seen, that this engine can reach a speed of 200 km/h and is allowed to ride on the high speed line between Liège and Louvain to tow wrecked high speed trains. Various locomotives of this series also have the words L2, then they can go up to St Louis (France).
