On 22 August 2018 DBC 189 034 hauls an iron ore train through Venlo Vierpaardjes and is about to pass a railway crossing. After decades of fuzzing to and fro, finally the railway crossing will make place for a short tunnel, wiping out half of the neighbourhood in the proces -and ending photo possibilities on this erstwhile famous vantage spot.

One of the last FORD trains (here empty stock) passes through Venlo Vierpaardjes, hauled by 189 078 on 20 December 2025. The once daily FORD car trains will soon be history due to the planned closure of the FORD factory at Dillingen (Saar). 
