On 23 May 2010 Prussian designed 39 230 basks in the Sun light at the DDM in Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg.

Althought these Pacifics were good engines, the shift toward Diesel and electric tractions overtook West-German steam operations and any series build of the 1953 designed Class 10 was cut short. The DDM luckily has saved 10 001 from oblivion and put her outside to enjoy the Sun light on 23 May 2010.
