A few hundred yards west from the railway station of Pratteln lies a well-known vantage point where nice pictures of freight trains can be made. This spot is about the only spot in Switzerland, where from public area decent photo's can be made of freights to/from both the Gotthard and Lötschberg railway lines -and of many an internal freight. One of the many freights at Pratteln on 13 February 2024 was hauled by DDF 421 379.
