Rather short-lived was the deployment of Vectrons on coal trains by DB Cargo, since the locos were a bit ti light on departure of these heavy trains. At times, the train was started but did not move a single meter due to slip althought the wheels were running up till the moment, the on-board software systems registered a speed in excess of the Vmax of 140 km/h due to the wheels rotating that fast -whilst the train still hadn't moved. DBC 193 320 hauled such a train on 30 July 2019 through Tilburg Oude Warande.

On 4 January 2025, RTBC's 193 179 hauls a tank train through Rotterdam Centraal toward Venlo using a diversion because the two more direct routes between Kijfhoek and the Dutch-German borders were out of use. 
