More than one ripple went through the railway fan fraternity when the tidings came, that Strukton bought her first electric locomotive in the form of former NS Reizigers 1824. On 11 October 2019 the sensation was seen at Nijmegen claiming that trains are friendly for the environment and that 1824 would be "Carbondioxide Neutral Underway". 
