Lineas 186 503 speeds solo through Valburg on 8 February 2023. Since many intermodal trains on the Betuweroute are shuttle trains, sometimes light running is necessary when one leg of the shuttle train (like from Saxony to Rotterdam in this example) has been cancelled and the return service (Roterdam to Saxony in this case) uses the locomotive that has brought the first leg (that has been cancelled in this example).

CD Cargo mercenary 186 376 stands on 2 March 2025 at Amersfoort. Since 2021 CD Cargo has gained some interesting workings in the Netherlands. Freights to/from Poland via the Czech republic are almost always hauled by Akiem-186s, but some trains, originating/ending in Czechia see much more interesting traction in the guise of CDC Vectrons Class 383. 

NS 186 043 banks an IC-Direct out of Tilburg on 26 February 2025. The NS TRAXX locos are beginning to loose their blue and yellow paintings after having been sold to Akiem and having been leased back. Slowly the ICR%-coaches and the TRAXX aren being phased out. 
