On 23 May 2010 the crew of 64 5491 takes a short break at the DDM in Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg between bankimg duties, making this little scenery possible.

In her last year as SSN steam engine, 65 018 brings in a steam shuttle train from Gouda into Rotterdam Noord Goederen SSN on 7 October 2018.

VSM's 65 0128 stands in Apeldoorn on 4 September 2022.

In the nick of time, just before the festivities on 50 Years of the Bayerisches Eisenbahnmuseum at Nördlingen, 64 094 was cosmetically restored and shows herself at the BEM on 1 June 2019.

ZLSM 1220 was guest at the VSM in Loenen on 4 September 2009. Sadly, this ex-SJ Class B steam loco is no longer in operational condition. 

On 14 December 2024, VSM 50 307 quits Arnhem Centraal in front of the six times daily Christmas-Express steam shuttle train between Arnhem Centraal and Nijmegen. The weekend of 14/15 December 2024 VSM deployed six shuttle services with one train set, consisting of a dozen of coaches (from local two-axle wagons to luxurious dining cars) and a steam loco at each end. ON the evening of the 14th however, 50 307 took minor damages and the preservationist of the VSM decided to replace the grossOhr (Big Ear) with two Dutch 1950s Diesel locomotives. 
