The MOB GDe 4/4 Chocolate train loc with the local train 2225 from Zweisimmen to Montreux by Sendy Sollard.

30 minutes before, I saw this train as a small light on the horizon at the virtual end of this long stretch of railroad through the desert.

The CEV MVR ABeh 2/6 7504 "Vevey" is waiting in the snowy Les Avants as R 34 2317 for the departure (from 1:13 p.m.) to Montreux (at 1:43 p.m.). As the kilometer sign on the contact line mast on the right of the picture shows, Montreux is only 8 km from Les Avants. What is not visible here is the height difference of 575 meters from Les Avants (970 m) to Montreux (395 m). January 3, 2025 

A few minutes later the CEV MVR ABeh 2/6 7504 "Vevey" arrived at the pretty Chamby train station as R 34 2317 on the way from Les Avants to Montreux. Chamby is located at 749 m above sea level. There is hardly any snow to be seen here. January 3, 2025 

Barely 19 minutes after the departure from the snow-covered Les Avants, the CEV MVR ABeh 2/6 7504 "Vevey" is on the way as R 34 2317 to Montreux near Planchamp (530 m above sea level) between strong palm trees. January 3, 2025 
