Car 847 of the Alexandria tram obviously has several layers of paint. Photos on the internet from 2018 still show the vehicle in yellow-white livery. It is a former vehicle of the Copenhagen tramway, which has not been in operation since 1972. 25.4.2025

The tram in Alexandria runs at an impressively slow speed, sometimes experiencing long waiting times at intersections; in this square, it shares the space with pedestrians. You can see from the tracks that higher speeds would not be possible anyway.

The vehicle comes from the Japanese company Kinki Sharyō, which has been supplying trams worldwide since 1920 and has also delivered metro vehicles for Cairo, among others. This vehicle dates from the 70s or 80s. The station should be Ramleh Station.
