Where it began: Hoogeveen sees ex-NMBS 6391, ACTS 6701 (still in belgian colours) hauling ont of the first ACTS container trains arriving on 22 February 1999. In 2011 ACTS was taken over by refuse carrier van Gansewinkel and restyled HUSA (Czech for Goose as a word play on the new owner's name, since Gans is Dutch for Goose). Sadly, in 2014 ACTS quit all operations, which spelled the end for the first network wide private operator on Dutch rails.

In the center of Rotterdam the Rotterdam Maritiem Museum has a nice piece of a harbour from the past, with small boats, cranes and ex-NS 347 with a freight wagon. Siks (Goats) were used for shunting throughout the Netherlands, but not just at stations, but also at factories and in port areas, like Rotterdam as seen on 10 August 2020.
