The haulage of IC services between Amsterdam and Bad Bentheim is the very last assignment for Class 1700 and test rides for deployment of ELL Vectrons on this service in the Netherlands are underway.

On 3 July 2015 NS 1733 calls at Wijchen with her DD-AR to Nijmegen. Note the automatic Scharffenberg couplers of the locomotive, that enabled 1700s deployed on regional services to couple and uncouple fast at greater stations, albeit that this feature was no longer used from 2012 after time and again, this coupling during station dwells often failed, leading to delays of ten minutes or more. 
