On 2 September 2012 VSM's 50 307 stands at Beekbergen with a steam shuttle to Loenen. THis loco used to be 50 307 from 1941 until being rebuild in the GDR as 50 3564 (ReKo). Under that guise, she came to the VSM in 1992 and remained a ReKo engine untill 2012, when she was brought back to her original condition including large smoke deflecting shields (Gross-Ohr) and renumbered 50 307.

From the platform with photographic zooming VSM 50 307 could just be caught banking the Christmas-express steam shuttle train out of Nijmegen back to Arnhem on 14 December 2024. 

On 14 December 2024, VSM 50 307 quits Arnhem Centraal in front of the six times daily Christmas-Express steam shuttle train between Arnhem Centraal and Nijmegen. The weekend of 14/15 December 2024 VSM deployed six shuttle services with one train set, consisting of a dozen of coaches (from local two-axle wagons to luxurious dining cars) and a steam loco at each end. ON the evening of the 14th however, 50 307 took minor damages and the preservationist of the VSM decided to replace the grossOhr (Big Ear) with two Dutch 1950s Diesel locomotives. 
