1602 photographed at Kinkempois on May 18th, 2008. In 1966, eight locomotives of this series were taken in service by the SNCB, to ensure the international market. In the seventies, 1601 and 1602 were provided with a fourth smaller pantograph, so that they could run to Switzerland with the train Freccia del Sole , which related Brussels to Spiez from 1974 to 1978.

The diesel locomotive 5506 pictured in front of the depot Kinkempois on May 18th, 2008. These engines were provided in operation by the SNCB in the years 1961-1962, they particularly run in the south of Belgium. The point before the number means that this locomotive has a heater. On the red stripes and the words TVM can be seen, that this engine can reach a speed of 200 km/h and is allowed to ride on the high speed line between Liège and Louvain to tow wrecked high speed trains. Various locomotives of this series also have the words L2, then they can go up to St Louis (France).
