The SNCF BB 26177 is waiting with its short freight train in Bellegarde (Ain) to continue its journey to Genève La Praille. The train consists of the following freight cars: the Zancn 33 RIV 80 D-VTG 7929 200-3 (danger address 80 1789), the Zces 23 RIV 85 CH VTGCH 7376 622-3 (80 1830), the Uacns 37 TEN 80 D GATXD 9326 526 -7 (X423 1402), the Zacns 37 RIV 80 D VTGCH 784 6 346-0 (80 1824) the Zacns 33 RIV 87 F ERSA 7929 952-2 (80 1824) and the 33 TEN 80 D VTG 7834 837-2, So all tank wagons with cargo that is probably more or less easy to grip. The SNCF Coradia Polyvalent régional tricourant Z 31539 reached its destination Bellegarde-sur-Valserine as TER 884562 from Evian-les Bains. The SNCF TER runs alternately with the two-hourly Léman Express trains RL1 and RL3 from Evian or St-Gervais to Annemasse, creating an hourly service. While the Léman Express trains* then take the route from Annemasse to Genève and Coppet, the TER to Bellegarde run alternately from Evain and St-Gervais and therefore every hour. Aug 26, 2024

For a school holiday event that was quite large due to the turnout, the two TPF RABe 527 192 and 197 ran as a special train from Lausanne. It is worth mentioning the fact that there are no scheduled TPF trains in Lausanne. Since the large group on platform 3 was waiting for the extra train on platform 1, it left slightly late, which gave me the advantage of being able to take one or two pictures of the train. The refurbished small RB (Réseau Breton) draisine Dm 2/2 N° 3 Biniou of the Blonay-Chamby railway is on a test drive in Blonay, it will be on the weekend of 7th/8th. Sept. officially put back into operation and presented to guests. In addition, the Dm 2/2 has been with the B-C for a very long time, as the following comments show: Around fifteen handcars from the company “Billard”, a renowned French railcar manufacturer, were in use on the almost 400 km long route network in Brittany. An ingenious device of movable rails mounted on a pivot point allows the trolley to be turned around to change direction or parked on a section of track next to the main track to clear the track for trains. In 1968, Blonay-Chamby in Loudeac removed some vehicles from the Breton network as they were being dismantled. Since there was still a small space available on the transport wagons, it was decided at the last moment to also take trolley number 3, which was available at the station, with us. This draisine, called “Le Biniou” in BC, will be used for the initial maintenance work between Blonay and Chamby and also for the dismantling of the line between St-Légier and Châtel-St-Denis. It is later taken out of service after it is damaged. Some thirty years later, the arrival of a new member, a retired auto mechanic, brought this vehicle back to life. Since the original “Renault Frégate” engine was beyond repair, a Peugeot J9 engine was adapted to it. The 3.71 meter long Dm 2/2 is probably the shortest passenger train, as the B-C used the trolley a few years ago on the Chamby - Chaulin section in the museum passenger train service. August 18, 2024

SNCB 7753 banks a special train through Saint-Ghislain on 17 August 2024. Because the normally held Chemins de Fer du Bocq festival was cancelled due to massive construction works on the Bocq line, some specials were organised by PFT-TSP (who also keep sway of the Bocq-line) reconoitring the once bustling industrial areas around Saint-Ghislain.
