Hi Date Jan,
during our stay in Netherlands, we hoped to have the opportunity to see these "Koplopers", but they don't run in the surroundings of Roosendaal.
Now we can enjoy your beautiful pictures of these trains.
Greetings
Hans and Jeanny
Date Jan de Vries 8.10.2009 14:42
Hello Hans und Jeanny,
Thank you for the positivy coments!
A little dissapointing that you didn't catch a Koploper at Roosendaal Station. At the following tracks/routes you have a big chance to see them:
- Leeuwarden/Groningen-Zwolle-Amersfoort-Utrecht-Den Haag CS/Rotterdam CS (almost every intercity train;
- Leeuwarden/Groningen-Zwolle-Amersfoort-Hilversum-Amsterdam CS-Schiphol (almost every intercity train;
- Schiphol – Hilversum – Amersfoort – Deventer – Hengelo – Enschede;
- Den Haag Centraal – Utrecht Centraal – Amersfoort – Deventer – Hengelo – Enschede.
In conclusion the best line is Amersfoort-Zwolle-Leeuwarden/Groningen. If you wanna take pictures from this class in the flat Dutch country side, then you best go to the lines Zwolle-Groningen and Zwolle-Leeuwarden. There are a lot of little railroad crossings which offer nice circumstances for good pictures.
Greetings,
Date Jan

Hello Hans,
Nice picture of this little Köf. Two questions:
Was this freight train coming from the freight track Coesfeld-Rheine or Gronau-Rheine?
Is this Köf of the class 332? I don't think it's a 323.
Greetings from Holland,
Date Jan
Hans van der Sluis 9.10.2009 20:57
Hello Date Jan,
You are very right. It isn't a class 323. It's a class 333. The 333 shunterlocomotive was as far as I can remember just shunting on some tracks on the southside (direction of Münster) at the railwaystation of Rheine and not coming from Coesfeld or Gronau. As I searched on the (google)map I also could not find a direct railwayline from Coesfeld or Gronau to Rheine.
Kind regards from Holland to Friesland,
Hans.

Hello January
I think it's good you like the picture.
Creases, there is no longer so many.
The railway always loses more alerts
and has too many locomotives in the fleet.
This has been going so far as the 143er be scrapped.
Greeting in the Netherlands
Manuel
