FLORIADE advertiser Veolia 202 enters Nijmegen on 12 August 2012. The Floriade is the Netherlands' biggest exposition of flowers and gardening and is held every ten years. In 2012 Venlo was host and since Venlo lies on a Diesel track from Nijmegen, erstwhile operator Veolia took on the chance to decorate DMU 202 in appropriate livery.

DB 218 321 calls at Niebüll on a grey 16 February 2026 as one of the very last IC trains between Niebüll and Westerland (Sylt) with Class 218 haulage. FS Trenitalia’s E 464.191 is preparing the iC 724 in Syracuse. The train will be loaded onto a ferry in Messina, along with an iC from Palermo. After crossing the Strait of Messina, the two trains will travel together to Roma Termini. Arrival in Rome is scheduled for 21:34.

Since I started photographing in France, I've often seen the beautiful BB 67400 diesel locomotive. However, its area of operation has now shrunk considerably, providing a good reason to photograph the locomotive again specifically. In Strasbourg, a few SNCF BB 67400s are used in regional service with RRR trainsets. Since two RRR trainsets have the capacity of roughly three to four "modern" trains, and the round trips during peak hours cover very few kilometers, it's not yet "worth it" to use several new multiple-unit trains. This is likely the main reason why these elegant locomotives are still in service. In Strasbourg, the well-maintained SNCF BB 67599 is leaving the depot.

Car 209 of the Alexandria tram on 26.4.2025 near the main station. The vehicle comes from the Japanese company Kinki Sharyō, which has been supplying trams worldwide since 1920 and has also delivered metro vehicles for Cairo, among others. This vehicle dates from the 70s or 80s. The station should be Ramleh Station.

The tram in Alexandria runs at an impressively slow speed, sometimes experiencing long waiting times at intersections; in this square, it shares the space with pedestrians. You can see from the tracks that higher speeds would not be possible anyway.

The FS Trenitalia ETR 104 289 is operating as R 12878 from Palermo to San Agata Militello and departs after a brief stop in Cefalù. The image also shows, to some extent, that the other tracks in Cefalù are accessed via rather narrow platforms. Furthermore, the double track ends shortly before Cefalù when approaching from Palermo.

On 15 July 2019 NS 1745 couples to an IC-Berlijn that has just been brought into Bad Bentheim by a sister loco. Due to an acident on the tracks between Bad Bentheim and Osnabrück, further traffic into Germany was impossible for hours. Since the trains to AND from the Netherlands meet within a time span of 25 minutes, the set that entered Bad bentheim from Amsterdam could easily be deployed onto the back leap.

On a grey 8 September 2022 NS 1746 gets coupled onto an IC-Berlijn to Amsterdam Centraal at Bad Bentheim. That the loco just has put herself to the train can be sen by the frontal pantograph having been raised. When the train leaves, the back pantograph wil have been raised -betwen first contaqct and departure the pantographs of course will have been lowered to enable the local personnel to connect all the necessary cables without being electrified.

Driving with the control car at the front, pushed by the CFL 4006 (a TRAXX P140 AC1), the IR from Luxembourg to Toisvierges (Ulflingen) rushes past Erpeldingen an der Sauer (Luxembourg) / Erpeldange-sur-Sûre on June 15, 2013, on the northern line heading north. I am standing at a level crossing.
Ulflingen (French Troisvierges, Luxembourgish Ëlwen) is the northernmost municipality of the Grand Duchy and is located near the tripoint with Belgium and Germany.
