The only HLE27 to receive the actual NMBS colours is 2715, painted by volunteers of the PFT-TSP. On 17 August 2024 the loco naturally guards the Retrotrain museum at Saint-Ghislain. 

On 19 November 2016 NMBS 2701 enters Antwerpen-Berchem with a diverted InterCity. That day, the tracks to and from Antwerpen Centraal (that is sited in a cul-de-sac) were closed for passenger traffic due to engineering works. 
