Terug-naar-Toen (Back to Beyond), the annual steam bonanza of the VSM, sees each hour a steam shuttle train between Apeldoorn and Beekbergen ,head quarters of the VSM.

On 14 September 2019 DB 101 064 stands in Goppingen and shows during the Märklin Days there her Märklin advertising livery.

In the nick of time, just before the festivities on 50 Years of the Bayerisches Eisenbahnmuseum at Nördlingen, 64 094 was cosmetically restored and shows herself at the BEM on 1 June 2019.

Terug-naar-Toen (Back to Beyond), the annual steam bonanza of the VSM, sees each hour a steam shuttle train between Apeldoorn and Beekbergen ,head quarters of the VSM. On 2 September 2018 VSM 64 415 double heads such a steam shuttle train entering Beekbergen.

From the platform with photographic zooming VSM 50 307 could just be caught banking the Christmas-express steam shuttle train out of Nijmegen back to Arnhem on 14 December 2024. 

On 14 December 2024, VSM 50 307 quits Arnhem Centraal in front of the six times daily Christmas-Express steam shuttle train between Arnhem Centraal and Nijmegen. The weekend of 14/15 December 2024 VSM deployed six shuttle services with one train set, consisting of a dozen of coaches (from local two-axle wagons to luxurious dining cars) and a steam loco at each end. ON the evening of the 14th however, 50 307 took minor damages and the preservationist of the VSM decided to replace the grossOhr (Big Ear) with two Dutch 1950s Diesel locomotives. 
