Two SBB GIRUNO RABe 501s are in Faido on their way south.

A SOB TRAVERSO RABe 526 drives as Treno Gottardo over the 103 meter long Polmengo Bridge, on the way to Locarno Sept.

The SOB TRAVERSO, the RABe 526 218 on the way to Locarno leaves Faido.

Two SBB GIRUNO RABe 501s are in Faido on their way south. At first glance, Faido train station appears as it did before the GTB went into operation, but upon closer inspection (and it is hardly visible in the photo) tracks 1 and 4 are no longer in use, the switches are screwed and the contact line is grounded.

In July 2016 I found this photo location north of Faido, a little above the Broscerina Tunnel with a view of the 103 meter long Polmengo Bridge, which bridges the Ticino River here.

The two C 5/6 locomotives 2978 and 2969 are on their way from Bellinzona to Bellinzona. The steam train is being re-formed in Göschenen for the onward journey through the Gotthard Tunnel. The two steam locomotives were photographed before the SBB Re 4/4 II 11161 took the lead. Oct. 21, 2017 
