On 21 October 2012 Olympic NS 9520 leaves Gouda. The Olympic adverts show the emphasis on the 2012 Olympic Games at London with the sticker 'bij NS staat deze zomer Londen Centraal' (literally London takes Central stage with NS. The pun is, that in Dutch cities, de mkost important stations are called Centraal (Central Station- like Amsterdam Centraal, Rotterdam Centraal and the like). Of course, there exists no London Central Station...

NS 9520 was supposed to lose her orange colours end 2012, but when it became clear, that Her Majesty Queen Beatrix would abdicate in February 2013, to be succeeded by het oldest son His Majesty Willem-Alexander, the orange colours on the EMU stuck a little longer, with a Dutch banner and the text van Beatrix naar Alexander (the pun was to be from B to A, conveniently forgetting that from 2013 the Dutch King's name begins with a W -in the Middle Ages, you might have been executed for less Violation of Majesty ...)
