On 14 December 2024, VSM 50 307 stands in front of the six times daily Christmas-Express steam shuttle train at Arnhem Centraal. The weekend of 14/15 December 2024 VSM deployed six shuttle services with one train set, consisting of a dozen of coaches (from local two-axle wagons to luxurious dining cars) and a steam loco at each end. ON the evening of the 14th however, 50 307 took minor damages and the preservationist of the VSM decided to replace the grossOhr (Big Ear) with two Dutch 1950s Diesel locomotives. 
