The (ex DB) WRS 193 302 (91 80 6193 302-7 D-WRSCH) is standing in Lausanne with a long train of tank cars before continuing its journey. According to the markings, the locomotive is approved for operation in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Belgium, although the voltage ratings listed in practically the same location are unclear to me: 3000 V, 1500 V, 1500 V 50 Hz, and 1000 V 16.7 Hz. Unfortunately, the locomotive and its train were positioned very awkwardly for photography, mainly due to the length of the train. With the timetable change, SBB RABe 512 trains replaced (most of) the SBB RABe 511 trains on the RE 33 line between Annemasse and Martigny. These are themselves scheduled to be replaced by the new Siemens double-decker trains in 2031. The picture shows RE 33 18418 traveling from St-Maurice to Annemasse, shortly after Villeneuve, with the Château de Chillon in the background.

SNCF Z 27516, operating as MOBIGO TER 894008, is en route from Belfort to Besançon Viotte and has arrived at Montbéliard station. Montbéliard lies on the Dole–Belfort line, opened in 1858, and is currently served by TER trains. Before the opening of the TGV line, however, it also had long-distance services, such as night trains from Luxembourg to Port Pou and the SNCF Tourbotrain multiple units from Lyon to Strasbourg. Furthermore, a line connected Montbéliard with Delle from 1868, but passenger service on this line was discontinued in 1938. December 9, 2025

The SNCF X 73800 Coradia A TER  Baleine  is waiting in Meroux for departure as MOBIGO TER 895052 to Belfort. Since MOBIGO TER 895052 is scheduled to leave Meroux at 9:43, it misses the connection with the RE56 arriving here from Bile/Bienne at 9:56.
