Class 740 was designed for private operators within Czechoslovakia, but some were donated to Bangladesh, earning these machines the nickname Bangladeshka. SSN's 011 075 shunts an extra train at Dieren on 4 September 2022 just after the VSM Terug-naar-Toen train festival. She and an SSN Class 23 will haul the Rotterdam-bound train just 30 km away before being halted at Arnhen due to lineside fires, caused by the spraking of the steam engines. The extra train will arrive two hours late because an electric loco had to be dispatched ad hoc from Rotterdam.

On 15 July 2022 NS 1746 gets coupled on an ICE-3M that became defective a day earlier near Zevenaar. Due to logistical reasons ProRail stabled the High-Speed EMU at Nijmegen and the 15th NS 1746 was to haul the ICE to Amsterdam-Watergraafsmeer via Tilburg.

That weekend, ZOS Vrutky, sited adjacent to Vrutky Nakladi Stanica, had an Open Weekend that attracted many visitors to see the nice collection of old stock, with some guest locos fron other works from Slovakia, but also from Czechia and Poland. Class 755 was a failed attempt by ZSSK to radically modernise older Diesel locos of Classes 750, 753 and 754, but experiences led to the vastly more succesfull Classes 756 (ZSCS) and 757 (ZSSK). When financial means for the acquisition of new tratcion are insufficient, modernising older stock is a good alternative.

Shunters of this type were used by not only the CSD and Czecho-Slovak industrial operators, but also were exported to the GDR, the USSR, Albania and Iraq. A reinforced version, T458, also was used within the CSD exported to the USSR, GDR, Poland, Albania, Iraq and India, plus Cuba (that bought 20 second hanfd CSD locos).

On 4 June 2013, CD 730 018 is sidelined at Breclav. Since the CSD refrained from having a really standardised colour scheme of all traction, especially in the field of Diesel locomotives, each CSD depot used their own design, resulting in a plethora of different colour schemes, like on Class 730, five versions of which stood for years in Breclav.
